Intro
As a creative professional with ten years experience, I have worked on projects ranging from complex catalogs, to small, 1-color logos, and everything in between. I deliver exceptional results, on time and within budget.

What sets me apart from other designers, is that in addition to creative conceptualization, I also possess the technical skills to bring my ideas to life. My technical proficiencies make production times minimal, giving my clients high-end results, in a cost-efficient short period of time.

My key skills include graphic design, art direction, illustration and photo retouching. I specialize in Adobe's Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and am using the current versions (CS4). I am familiar with a wide assortment of other software.

History
I moved to North Carolina in 1999 and was hired by Sherrill Inc as the in-house graphic designer. I quickly took on the responsibilities of conception and production of all the print advertising, catalogs, website, tradeshow displays, branding and direct mail. I executed all of these projects within the set timelines and budget constraints. As the company grew, so did the size and volume of our marketing needs. I still maintained my creative conception responsibilities, and some production work, but expanded to managing freelancers on our larger projects, such as our master catalog. Outside of Sherrill Inc, I do freelance work for various clients. I always enjoy being able to work on different projects.

Skills
A natural problem solver, I have vision to figure out solutions, whether it’s the best way to communicate a message, or arranging elements on a page. I have a creative mind and strong design skills. I’m extremely proficient with the major design software such as Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). I relish the opportunity to learn new software and methods.

Education
I began learning graphic design in high school, and continued on that path at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ, from 1995 - 1998. Once my full-time career as a graphic designer began in 1999, I continue my education with seminars and classes. I also subscribe to Communication Arts and Design Annual, and Layers Magazine.

Me
I was born and raised in New Jersey. I moved down to Greensboro, NC in 1999 with my fiance (now wife) Amy. We currently reside in Jamestown, NC and had our first child, Isabelle, at the end of June 2007.

I am an avid hockey player, and try to get on the ice at least a few times a week. It’s great exercise and stress relief. I run one of the hockey teams I play for, and recently developed the Scoring For Smiles fund-raiser, benefiting the Operation Smile organization.
